Janam Technologies LLC, a provider of rugged mobile computers that scan barcodes and communicate wirelessly, today announced availability of the XM65, a powerful and affordable rugged mobile computer running Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 Premium software and applications.
Small enough to fit snugly in a user’s hand and weighing less than 10 ounces, the XM65 delivers advanced barcode scanning, full-sized 3.5” display for easy viewing, powerful computing performance and a fully rugged construction capable of surviving use in the toughest operating environments. The compact, ergonomic mobile computer is both comfortable to use and easy to deploy, offering key productivity-enhancing features such as 802.11b/g WLAN, Bluetooth, a user-accessible mini-SD card slot, backlit numeric keypad and a full suite of accessories and cradles designed for enterprise applications. A best-in-class product, the XM65 offers all of this at a list price under $1,000.
“Until now, customers for rugged mobile computers have needed to choose between performance and price,” said Harry B. Lerner, CEO of Janam. “The XM65 will offer customers both superior performance and remarkable prices, with no sacrifices. Increasing productivity, enhancing operating efficiencies and improving customer satisfaction with rugged mobile computers has never been more affordable.”
“Businesses increasingly need powerful, flexible devices, to deploy to their workforce,” said Mary Starman, group product manager for Windows Mobile at Microsoft Corp. “Microsoft’s open approach to software enables the latest standards for performance.
